Is bigger better?
500ml or 5ltr?

For the real Budweiser? Hell yes bigger is better!

I like your thinking.
Czech Budweiser is the only Bud I’d touch.

So good, and so hard to find in the States.

I went into a supermarket near me after cleaning a colleague’s and her son’s cars. At the front door they had the five litre kegs from £16 down to £10. Who was I to say no.
It’s going down well.
I still get annoyed at the thought that Budweiser U.S. took Budweiser Czech to court over using the Budweiser name.

You did well.

You would have thought that the Czech company would have sued the US company for defamation of character...

I know right!? £2 per litre.
Huzza.

This is my favorite beer. I wish I could get 5ltr here because bigger is definitely better.

They tried but U.S. Budweiser had all the money and expensive lawyers.
So as far as I’m aware they can only use the name Budweiser Budvar in Europe while elsewhere it’s called Budvar (but I’ve not kept on top of things over the years).
It’s like when Apple tried suing the BBC over it’s use of the name iPlayer for it’s internet based viewing platform. The courts reasoned that Apple doesn’t have sole right to put ‘i’ in front of something.

Not going to lie.
It’s flowing beautifully.

I’ve never tried the Czech stuff, but can’t stand the crap made here in the US - I’m sure the Czech beer is better.
And I’m appalled that US Bud seems to be pretty common around London for whatever reason - maybe to cater to Yanks who are afraid to broaden their horizons a bit??

It’s darker, less gassy, more flavoursome, fully bodied and generally a good all rounder.
U.S. Bud, Coors, etc.. even the Sierra Nevada and Adams don’t float my boat. Especially the ‘lite’ stuff.
There are some drinkers in the U.K. who just want the alcohol or want a beer with less alcohol so they can drink more and stay out longer on an evening, or drink it because it’s cheaper than other available. There is no accounting for taste. But each to their own, the world would be a boring place if we were all the same.
